Tulsa Artist Fellowship announces the opening of its 2020-2021 Fellowship application. Open to both local and national contemporary artists and arts workers of any medium or discipline, the submission process is open through Friday, September 6, 2019. Tulsa Artist Fellowship awards include a $20,000 stipend, fully subsidized living and studio space within Tulsa’s Arts and Greenwood Districts for one year.

The 2020-2021 application is a milestone fifth cycle for the program and the first with Executive Director Carolyn Sickles. “The commitment from Tulsa Artist Fellowship and the George Kaiser Family Foundation to support artists and arts workers is groundbreaking,” said Sickles. “We are dedicated to solving systemic challenges that have historically impacted the arts community and Tulsa is becoming a place where arts practitioners, many for the first time, are living healthy and sustainable lives.”

Tulsa Artist Fellowship anticipates offering up to 20 awards that will be announced in April 2020. Honoring the unique cultural and historical landscape of Tulsa, awards are reserved for Native American, Alaskan Native, and Native Hawaiian Artists. The 2020-2021 Fellowship term begins in August 2020 and ends July 2021.
