Tulsa Artist Fellowship, a place-based, durational award that aims to support visionary arts practitioners, is now accepting applications for its 2025-2027 cohort. The fellowship encourages established creatives of any medium or discipline with minimum five years of relevant experience to apply.
Each of the 10 selected recipients will receive $150,000 over three award years, a $12,000 annual housing stipend, a $1,200 yearly health stipend, a $1,200 yearly studio assistant stipend, a $1,500 relocation stipend, fully subsidized studio spaces and access to shared art-making facilities —totaling over $1.95 million in support. With the recognition that groundbreaking artistic practices thrive within an intention-setting framework, awardees will call Tulsa, Oklahoma home as they commit to actualizing their proposed project while engaging with the community of Tulsa and broader audiences.
Realizing George Kaiser Family Foundation’s vision grounded in social change, Tulsa Artist Fellowship brings together national and local artists and arts workers in Tulsa, Oklahoma, distinctly positioned at the center of coastal cultural conversations. Tulsa Artist Fellowship leverages their network of experienced creatives to appoint arts experts from across the United States who represent a wide spectrum of disciplines to join the review and selection process. Implementing this structure deepens the fellowship’s connection to diverse communities and practices that constitute the field of art.
Competitive submissions will extend from the applicants’ artistic practice, be forward-thinking, demonstrate impactful community engagement, and significantly contribute to Tulsa’s arts identity. The fellowship makes the award process free and accessible to all applicants.
