Why should I support Hyperallergic?
Your support helps protect Hyperallergic’s independence, allowing us to continue publishing quality arts journalism and criticism that is free and available to all.

Where does the money contributed by Hyperallergic Members go?
All of the money contributed through our membership program directly supports our staff of editors and writers as well as hundreds of active contributing writers from around the world.
Can I send my membership contribution by check?
Yes! Please mail your check to Hyperallergic, Attn: Membership Program, 181 N 11th St., Suite 302, Brooklyn, NY 11211. Please be sure to include your email address if you’d also like to receive member emails.
Are Hyperallergic articles still freely available to all?
Yes! We believe in making our work accessible to the widest possible audience, therefore our editorial articles will remain free for anyone to access.
Membership Questions
What are the differences between membership levels?
All members receive our Members-only newsletter. Sustaining Members that contribute on a recurring basis receive a tote bag and additional benefits listed above.

When will I receive my gift?
Tote bags will be sent out within a few months of the start of your membership. Tote bags for monthly sustaining members will be sent out after your total contribution reaches $60. If you have updates to your shipping address prior to shipping, please email us at membership@hyperallergic.com.
How do I change or cancel my Membership?
Monthly sustaining members can cancel or change their contribution at any time. Yearly sustaining members are pre-paid, but automatic renewal can be changed or canceled allowing your membership to switch or expire when the current year of membership ends.
Can I get a refund?
Membership contributions are non-refundable, but you are welcome to cancel upcoming payments at any time.
What are my payment options?
Transactions are processed by Stripe, which accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and other major credit cards, or by PayPal.
